Volunteers represent the church and school and as such, should show support for the school, staff and policies at all times. Volunteers are entrusted with keeping matters concerning students, families or staff members confidential. Volunteers must be dressed appropriately for a Catholic school environment when participating in campus activities as all adults act as role models for our students.
Volunteers are required to complete the VIRTUS©, Protecting God’s Children adult workshop. Volunteers wanting to serve in our school must complete the VIRTUS© training program, agree to an Archdiocesan background check including criminal history, and sign the Archdiocesan Volunteer’s Code of Conduct.
To maintain VIRTUS© certification, volunteers must attend the Keeping the Promise Alive refresher workshop within 12 months after reaching their 5th year Protecting God’s Children anniversary date.
Our school encourages anyone wanting to get involved in volunteer activities to complete the VIRTUS© program. As a community of faith it is our moral responsibility to safeguard children, the most important gifts God entrusts to us. For questions about VIRTUS© you may contact Cathy Russell.
